Our Amsterdam Electric Bike & Walking Tours
Zaanse Schans tour is running daily through November
Friend of TADs, Liz Hébert is running her own private and group tours through the Rijksmuseum. It’s bookable via our site and we’re happy to have her on board.
The following tours are not running daily but are available by appointment.
COUNTRYSIDE BIKE TOUR: Marken
Duration ± 7 hours — Group size 10 (By appointment)
There’s nothing better than spending a sunny summers day riding through the the countryside of Holland. A short ferry ride and an easy 20-minute cycle through the north of the city and we’ll reach the Waterlands, the countryside just outside of Amsterdam. Soon it’s cows and farmers’ signs offering up freshly made ice-cream and milk.
Because the Netherlands is relatively flat, one does not need to be in top shape to partake but the ability to be physically active over the course of the tour is recommended. The use of electric bikes on this tour will certainly help make the roughly 50km tour a breeze.
We'll discuss water and land management, see an old-school windmill, explain why the Dutch are so bike-crazed and how they used these paths during the Second World War in search of the goods they needed to survive.
There will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way as we cruise through a few villages and stopping in the village of Marken were you’ll have free time for lunch and to explore. We'll spend most of our time outside the city, and the stress of biking in Amsterdam will be minimized.
Meet your local guide in front of the Wheel Good Bike shop. Address: Oudezijds Armsteeg 22
Red Light District: After DarK
Durations: 75 minutes — Group size 4 (By appointment)
Amsterdam’s oldest neighborhood is home to the world’s oldest profession. We’ll look how the Red Light District came into being, discuss some of the most famous sex shops and shows, and answer every question you had (and even some you didn’t) about the area.
We’ll also look at how project 1012 has shaped the modern Red Light District and what those changes mean for the neighborhood.
Be warned: we will be speaking openly about sex and adult topics. This tour is not suited for children.
Come with an open mind and leave enlightened.
Book. by appointment.
